The peninsula location offers you a quiet road to walk or bike ride. This cabin is part of a small association called Timberlane that has 10 cabins with some shared amenities. Your cabin is a private stand alone cabin, with 2 decks and large private dock for great swimming and docking your boat. You can swim off the shoreline which has small river rock with gradual depth or if you wish some sandy beach for the little ones, there is a public beach about 200 yards away that you can walk or bike to. The cabin offers great proximity to all of the outdoor attractions while being just 10 minutes from downtown Hayward. Recent additions to the property include air conditioning and full kitchen remodel with updated appliances. Property is located 5 minutes from local restaurants, such as Tamarack Farms and Powell’s. Round Lake is crystal clear to enjoy any boating or fishing activities. There are also many hiking trails, mountain biking and golfing in the Hayward area. Property manager has two 22’, 12 passenger, brand new Sylvan pontoon rentals available, one with live well for those who like to fish. Pontoons are delivered and removed directly from the rental property making your vacation even easier!

Our cabin is a lovely 1400 sq foot 2 bedroom cabin perched on the edge of a 50 foot slope down to the lake. From the deck there is a stunning and panoramic view of the lake through pines on the slope with bald eagles nesting in the treetops right in front of you as you sit on the deck drinking your morning coffee. The view is to the north so the sun rises over the lake to your right and sets to your left, often with brilliant colors. The lot is forested so there is lots of shade on the hotter days. There is a boat lift and 40 foot private dock with a staircase down to the lake. There is a canoe you can use if you bring it back up where we store it on the west end of the garage/there are paddles in the garage just inside the man door on the lake side of the garage. The lake bottom is very gradual so an adult can wade out about 200 feet before getting in over his head. The bank is rip-rapped but after the first 10 feet or so the bottom is mostly sandy and great for swimming. Lake temperatures are about 70 degrees or more by the end of June and the lake is so clear that you can see down 10 feet or more so it's a wonderful place to swim and snorkel. It has a full kitchen with refrigerator, range, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster. There is a septic system and no disposal so there is a screen in the kitchen sink and you have to be careful to keep any debris from going down the drain. There is no dishwasher. The great room has a wonderful view of the lake through sliding patio doors and bay window and is about 25 by 30 including the sitting areas, dining area and galley kitchen. There is a large sectional with a TV, DVD player and cable TV. There is internet access with a wireless router. There is also a trundle bed in the great room. The lower bed can be brought out so 2 can sleep there or it can be left underneath and 1 can sleep there. There are 2 bedrooms. The master has a queen size bed. The other bedroom has 2 twins. There is a full bath with tub/shower, lavatory and toilet. A second bathroom has a stand up shower and toilet, and then a larger room with a laundry tub, medicine chest, mirror and coat racks. Outside there is a charcoal grill, portable fire pit, wood supply, deck table and chairs and front lawn for bocci ball, playing catch or sitting in the adirondack chairs under the trees and reading. It's about 2 miles to the Indian casino and about 7 miles to Hayward which is a resort town of over 2000 people with restaurants, large grocery stores, gift shops, hardware stores and places to rent all kinds of watercraft. There is a marina on the lake that sells gas, rents pontoon boats, speed boats and other kinds of watercraft. It is a 20-30 minute drive to rent canoes and tubes to float the Namakagon River which holds smallmouth bass, muskies and northerns. The upper stretch above Hayward holds considerable numbers of brown trout. Hayward Country Club is a wonderful golf course that is open to the public and is right in town. It is an old-style golf course with lots of trees and always in immaculate shape. It's about $55 with cart, $44 for seniors 62 and over. A Pete Dye designed golf course called Big Fish is 2 miles from the cabin, right across the road from the casino. It's a more difficult course with an open links-style front nine and a hilly back nine that winds through the forest. There are a number of other nice courses in the area within about 30 minutes. My favorite is Spooner GC in Spooner-really scenic, rolling hills and always in wonderful shape. I may accept dogs after we've discussed it on the phone and I've agreed to have you bring them..

Round Lake is an excellent swimming lake and the bottom is sandy. At the end of the dock it is about 5 feet deep and is a great place to take those younger guests fishing or for a swim. This rental also includes the use of a canoe and Kayak that are stored on racks on the dock. Our shoreline is small rocks with a gradual slope-it is a nice swimming area. There are two places to eat on the lake- Prop's Landing and DJ's Dock- You can take your boat over to each of them or a short ride in the car and you're there. Gas for your boat can be purchased on the lake at Round Lake Marina and there is a boat landing about a 1/2 mile away right on Peninsula Road. For you snowmobilers, right in front of the house is a state snowmobile trail that runs across the middle of the lake giving you easy access to the trail. ATV trails are just a short ride on the road to the trails as well.

Round Lake is approximately a 3,000 acre lake with 19 miles of shoreline with many bays. The lake is a spring fed lake and is so clear - you can see the bottom at 10 ft. It has a sandy bottom and shoreline and is great for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking and canoeing. Round lake does have a public beach for kids to enjoy a sandy beach. There are several other beaches and sand bars obtainable by boat. For your convenience, there is an on lake boat rental service located at Round Lake Marina.

There is plenty of room to tie up your own boat or rent a beautiful pontoon. You enter our wooded driveway off of Sandy Beach Road. The gravel driveway leads down the hill to a flat area of grass and sand for your enjoyment. Our Little Red Cabin sits just feet from the water's edge. The cabin has western views, so you will enjoy the sunset from the cabin, deck, BBQ or bonfire. The inside of the cabin has pine walls and floors throughout. Two of the bedrooms have full size beds, the third has a bunk bed. There is a full updated bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has a new refrigerator and stove (updated after posted pictures) for the meals at home. You will be tempted by the proximity the cabin offers, for breakfast at Hayward's famous, Robin's Nest Cafe or the variety of restaurants offering the wonderful 'Friday Fish Fry.' The local town of Hayward boasts quaint streets full of "vacation" shops such as coffee shops, outdoor to high end clothing stores, boutiques, furniture shops, restaurants, ice cream and candy shops, the famous Hayward bakery, the kitchen mercantile, and more. Entertainment in Hayward is not lacking! There are ski, snowmobile, boat, ATV, canoe/kayak rental shops, Lumberjack shows, a movie theatre, go kart track, mini golf, Sheers lumber jack shows, and surrounding golf courses. Our home is a beautiful Bungalow Craftsman style. It was extensively remodeled in 1999. It has 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, a Screen Porch (with hurricane shutters) & 3 Fireplaces. The master bedroom (king sized bed) and another room (queen sized bed) are on the top floor, and the other three bedrooms are downstairs (two rooms with twin beds and one with a king). There is a family room downstairs with a television and games. Adjoining there is a foosball table and a workout room. The living room is upstairs with cedar beams throughout and into the kitchen area. The kitchen and eating area is maple hardwood, and the kitchen cabinets are cherry. Sleeps 10 comfortably, with additional room in the porch (could sleep 2 on the futon in summertime) No A/C, but fans in every room. Total square footage is 4,754 S.F. There is a large flat back yard for games and other activities, right on the lakefront. Two car attached garage.

It is on a perfectly level lot with no steps down to the water, offering a spectacular view. It is tastefully decorated with a lake cottage feel. Amenities include: a large four season porch, attached sun deck, fireplace, and a double garage. There are four bedrooms total including a large loft. Two bedrooms have king beds and the third is a full. The loft has a king and queen bed with its own bathroom. The porch has a queen bed. With its open design and large windows it feels like you are sleeping directly outside! The kitchen is large with plenty of room for all. A maximum of 12 people is allowed. Wi fi is also provided for your techno needs. * Boat lift: We are willing to provide our brand new 2015 Shoremaster lift with cover, to you at no charge. It is for V hulled boats only, not pontoons. This is a distinct added value. If a storm hits Round Lake you want to be out of the water. Rental Pontoon Boat: you can arrange to have one at the end of our dock, all gassed and ready to go the instant you arrive. So very convenient. Marina: Full service Round Lake Marina is located one mile away. They can provide your rental toys along with gas fill ups. Also very handy if you need an engine repair. Round Lake is over 2 miles long and has approximately 3,000 acres of water. It one of the clearest lakes in northern WI , well known for water sports, sailing, and fishing. ROUND LAKE ROOST is a 2-story well-maintained home of approximately 2700 sq ft located on the western shore of Round Lake. With 1.5 acres of level elevation guests can enjoy over 150 ft of sandy bottomed crystal clear shoreline. Bonfires in the lakeside firepit, relaxing in the hammock, recreating on the picnic point, and even fishing in the private inlet are just a few of the great features this property has to offer. This cabin has year-round accommodations and WIFI is available throughout the home. MAIN FLOOR (Living room, kitchen, deck, 3 bedrooms, bath, master bedroom and master bath): The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen with newer appliances, living room with flat panel TV and a wood burning fireplace. Fall of 2019, the kitchen was remodeled, to have an open flow feeling. The kitchen also has a bar counter with stools, just adjacent to the dining area which allows seating for 12. The living room also has numerous large windows and sliding door access to the raised deck which spans the entire lake side of the cabin. Breathtaking sunrises and stunning lake views from many rooms-- living room, master suite and lower level family room. MASTER BEDROOM: Main floor master bedroom suite (approximately 200 sq. ft.) includes a King bed, private bath, walk-in closet and sliding glass doors to the deck. This bedroom can accommodate a Pack-n-Play and air mattresses, if needed. BUNK ROOM: The main floor bunk room has two bunk beds (twin over full) with sleeping accommodations for 6 children or 4 adults. This room has lockers for kids, a large closet, and a 40" TV/DVD player with comfy seating on the floor (perfect for kids). QUEEN ROOMS (2) and BATH: Two other queen bedrooms and a full bath are located just off the main floor hallway. Both queen rooms offer comfortable queen beds with ample closet space. LOWER LEVEL (Family room, laundry, bath, office/study nook and access to garage): A stunning stone fireplace with a Northwoods log mantel is the focal point of the lower level family room. With a gas fireplace, 50' flat screen TV, DVD player and cable TV with 125 channels, everyone can enjoy their time relaxing after their lake adventures. A 3/4 bath is just around the corner. An office/study nook provides an area for those that need it. The washer/dryer is on the lower level also. LOCATION: Round Lake Roost is located near the end of Sunrise Road on the southwest edge of Round Lake. As you enter the driveway you are welcomed to this captivating property--to the lake home with stunning views from its many large lakeside windows, a generous parking area for cars and trailers, and the private inlet--unique to so few properties in the area. While enjoying the sights and sounds of nature and all its wildlife, it is a short jaunt of about 150 ft on level ground walking along the shore of the private inlet to reach the 157' of hard sandy bottomed crystal clear lakeshore. The tree-lined lot, private inlet, level elevation, sandy swim area, crystal clear lake, lakeside fire pit and 150+ ft of shoreline make this an ideal family retreat for your Northwoods adventure. The fishing is excellent on this lake— 3294 acres with maximum depth of 74 feet. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. There are 3 public boat landings with access at Peninsula Rd less than 5 minutes away. ADVENTURES ABOUND--There are restaurants on the lake and in the surrounding area, along with bait and tackle shops and marinas. Main Street Hayward is just 6 miles away with great downtown shops, bakery, restaurants, grocer, winery and post office. So relax and enjoy the lake, but make a quick trip to town to enjoy all it has to offer also. SKI, HIKING, SNOWMOBILE and ATV trails are all accessible while on your Northwoods adventure. FISHING DOCK AND BOATING: We have room for 2 to 3 boats (depending on size). There is a dock and bumpers for docking boats. Fish cleaning station is available. BOAT RENTAL: Round Lake Marina is just off of Highway B on the southern edge of Round Lake. They have a variety of rental choices. Other recreational rental businesses are located in the surrounding area. CLEANING: Round Lake Roost is very clean. We will have the cabin deep-cleaned after every use. All linens, bedding, blankets, spreads, and throw rugs are laundered prior to your stay. We live nearby and will be able to take care of any problems or additional needs. PETS: We do not allow pets. NON-SMOKING HOME: We do not allow smoking in the home, but guests are permitted to smoke on the property. Outside trash cans are available for disposal, as the damage deposit will be forfeited if left on grounds/property. FURNISHED ITEMS: We furnish many items for your stay at Round Lake Roost. BED & BATH— We provide bed and bath linens for your use. Each bathroom is supplied with Kleenex, toilet paper and pump soap. We do have a hair dryer available in the linen closet, but you may consider bringing your own. We do provide body wash for the showers/tubs. We have an iron and ironing board. Please bring your own beach towels. If you forget, there will be a few on the shelves in the linen closet. KITCHEN— We have dishcloths, hand towels, dish drying towels, 2 rolls of paper towels and dishwashing liquid for dish washing and dishwasher use. We also have small boxes of ziploc bags and aluminum foil, along with some garbage bags to get you started on your stay. We do have a cupboard with coffee filters, some salt/pepper and toothpicks. KITCHENWARE— We have a coffee maker, coffee grinder and carafe. If you have a particular baking dish or small appliance that you use, check with us and we will let you know if we have it. The kitchen is equipped with just about everything— pizza pans, pie dishes, baking sheets, muffin pans, lasagna pan, roaster, popcorn airpopper, toaster, cast iron pans, griddle, crockpots, blender, etc. We now have a punch bowl, fun for meals. OUTDOOR DECK: The raised deck spans the entire lake side of the home. GRILL & DECK DINING— There is a large gas grill with propane. We have table/chairs for dining on the deck, along with acrylic dishes and drinkware. OUTDOOR FIRE RING— We do have a bit of firewood from some dead trees we cut down. We will have some by the lakeside fire pit for campfires. We do have long branches for cooking marshmallows. We do have Adirondack chairs for around the fire ring (adults and kids).
